BEAUTY CHAPTER | Haul: February 2015

Hello everyone! I’m back with another collective haul post. I wanted to keep you guys updated on some of the beauty-related stuff I bought and give also my initial thoughts. So without further blabbing, here’s my haul:

Tarte Chic to Cheek Amazonian Clay Blush Set (2014 Holiday Collection)

First is this limited edition set from Tarte Cosmetics. It is from their Holiday Collection (Sweet Dreams) last year and I absolutely love the packaging. The quaity of these blushes are amazing, they are pigmented and super easy to blend. They last on my oily skin all day and I find myself reaching out for these blushes a lot lately because of the humid weather. Now I know why a lot of makeup enthusiasts highly recommend Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes because you definitely get your money’s worth.

Maybelline ColorSensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks in Daringly Nude, Lust for Blush, and Touch of Spice

These Creamy Matte Lipsticks from Maybelline are the best matte lipsticks I have tried! I like them better than the matte lipsticks from MAC. They don’t dry out the lips and are long-lasting. I got the shades Daringly Nude (very flattering nude), Lust for Blush (dusty rose with a touch of lilac) and Touch of Spice (90’s inspired / Kylie Jenner lip trend). Sadly, the Creamy Matte line isn’t available here in the Philippines and you can only get these lipsticks from online shops.

Smashbox Bronze Lights in Sunkissed Matte

I bought this bronzer because I’m into the whole bronzing, contouring and highlighting thing ever since I got my hands on the Anastasia Contour Kit. I haven’t tried this Smashbox bronzer yet but it looks really nice because it is not too dark, the color is just enough to give warmth to the face. Sephora doesn’t carry it anymore and is sold out almost everywhere in the US. If you’re from the PH, Smashbox is available at all Beauty Bar branches.

Red Cherry Lashes and Dolly Wink Pencil Sharpener

I also purchased some stuff last month from one of my favorite online shops, BeautyMNL. I stocked up on my fave Red Cherry lashes as I’m obsessed and I wear falsies most of the time. Aside from falsies, I bought a new pencil sharpener. If you struggle with sharpening eye pencils and lip liners, give Dolly Wink a shot, it is the best sharpener I have tried!

Seche Vite Crystal Clear Base Coat and Top Coat

I have been on the hunt for a good base coat and a truly long-wearing topcoat. Seche is a well known brand when it comes to nail polishes so I decided to check out and try their products. I got these two from BeautyMNL as well.

Chic Nail Polish Pastel Collection by Kathryn Bernardo in Sweet Pea, Marionette, Baby Doll, and Hula Hoop

Pastel colors are really cute and feminine. They remind me of macarons, cotton candy, and cupcakes– yup, all that good stuff. It is actually quite hard to find affordable pastel colored nail polishes and I’m glad Chic released a collection just in time for summer. I have tried Sweet Pea (lilac) and Marionette (sky blue) already and they are a bit streaky at first but they looked fine after 3 coats.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat, Birthday Suit, and Pinky Promise

I purchased these Sally Hansen polishes last December-January and I forgot to include them in my previous haul posts. I like Sally Hansen mainly because of the brush, it is wide and it fits my nails really well.  If you’re not familiar with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel line, it is an affordable gel polish without the need of a lamp.

Miss Bella Box Medium + Plain Tray Acrylic Organizer

Last but definitely not the least is an acrylic organizer from Miss Bella PH. I needed a bigger storage because my previous acrylic organizer is quite small. I filled it with skin care products, lipsticks, eyebrow stuff, eyeliners, blushes, bronzers and highlighters.

That’s all for my February collective haul. Let me know in the comments section below if you have tried any of these products before or if you would like to see future reviews!
